Annual Meeting Minutes 2024
Minutes of Oakwood Park Association
July 6, 2024
The meeting was called to order by Brandon Miller. Board members were introduced. It was reported by Brandon that Phil Carper submitted his board resignation which was accepted by the board. Phil was thanked for his service.
The minutes were read and approved by Secretary Fritzi Nodine
Steve Myers gave the Treasure’s report. It was included with the minutes. Steve reported that there was 4070.00 in the treasury. Legal fees included 387.00 dollars, postage 109.00. Steve reported that he rented a post office box for 72.00/year.
It was reported the completion of Road 150E with slag. This fall the road from 150H at the south end of the association to the hill at 150E will be completed. Costs to the association and to the association members were discussed. A different type of slag, Durafinish will be used on this part of the project.
Steve reported that anyone who did not pay their dues would be sent a second letter and it not paid within one month, the association would place a lean on their property. Dues for 2024 remain at 125.00 per home owner.
Currently a Facebook and Webpage are available for Oakwood Park but not used often. With postage increasing the use of e-mail addresses were also emphasized.
In new business it was brought up the possible closing of the unused road 150F. This would not include the easement but would include property between Cristliebs, Nodines and Snyders. The city would like the road closed as well as they would like to remove the address from the only home with a 150F to a 150H address. Fritzi Nodine volunteered to take steps to facilitate this closure. It was emphasized this would also not effect utility easements.
It was discussed that the association would be looking for a new attorney. Our attorney of record, John Cress has not handled manners it what was felt to be a timely manner. This matter will be addressed by the board.
A pier continues to be placed in the easement at the end of Hill Street. A letter will again be sent to Greg Mekus in objection to this illegal placement.
An update on activities of the Hamilton Lake Association was given.
Jon Nodine volunteered to fill the board seat vacated by Phil Carper. This was accepted. The meeting was adjourned.
Respectfully submitted,
Fritzi Nodine
